Who's telling the story
"Every story I tell you happened in a bedroom I was under. And I've been under a lot of bedrooms."
It doesn't have a name. It isn't good, and it isn't evil. It has been watching from the dark since the first oak bed, and it knows things the people above it never found out.
New stories every week, from the 1700s to tonight.

Every kid half-knows them
The Rules
It has to follow them. Every one. Learn them, and you'll know exactly how much trouble you're in.
The Covers
It can't touch anything under the blanket. A foot hanging off the edge is a different matter.
The Light
It can't stand in direct light. A nightlight shrinks its world. A blackout changes everything.
The Look
You can't see it by looking for it. When you check under the bed, it has already moved.
The Voice
It can't speak to you unless you speak first. "Is someone there?" counts.
The Bed
It belongs to a bed, not a house. When the bed is sold or moved, it goes too.
The Forgetting
Children see it. Adults forget. A few never do, and those are the stories it likes to tell.
